The ghosts tour with Joey was one of our highlights of visiting Rome! It was so exciting to see a different side of the city at night when it was cooler and less crowded.

Delightful! An absolutely must for those looking for something a little more original than a run-of-the-mill excursion. This unique “behind-the-scenes” introduction to the “hidden in plain sight” artwork of the great Caravaggio is an excursion you would never do on your own. Thankfully, you don’t have to. GuruWalk has put together a two-hour tour that is an absolutely delightful and engaging mix of Roman history and art. And who to execute it better than a loquacious Irishman?! A wonderful experience. Would definitely go on another tour with Joey, and What About Tours! Well done!

It gives me great pleasure to write a review of a wonderful tour to share my impressions and recommendations. If you want to see Rome not only all its glory, but also look into all its dark corners of history, you should definitely take this tour. The tour guide Max is able to amaze and interest every tourist with his knowledge and stories. If you don’t want any boring tours, then I assure you that this is the tour for you!

Just amazing. Very interesting despite being a niche subject. Great way to learn about an amazing and troubled artist.

This tour added a whole new layer of what we already knew about Caravaggio! The churches were also places that you would never go to had you not been on this tour OR weren’t looking for Caravaggios. It lasted a little over 2 hours and there were many breaks and chances to sit (and it was hot!). His passion and ability to tell a wonderful story made everything worth it! Definitely book this tour if you’ve been to Rome already and need something new, are an art fan, or want to see some back ally things that don’t involve waves of tourists!

Max is an amazing guide who kept us on our toes to learn more about Caravaggio’s life. Really enjoyed the tour. Highly recommend it!

I’ve been on a quite a few walking tours and this was one of the best. It’s very original and doesn’t just show you the sights but gives you an interesting story to follow along. The tour guide was awesome and very engaging and seemed to love the job. The tour was super interesting and helped me get more interested in some of the less known aspects of rome. Would definitely recommend.

If you are tired of monotonous excursions, this is the right place for you. The tour guides will tell you about this beautiful city of Rome in a unique way. I liked that after the tour there was an opportunity to talk to the tour guide, to ask additional questions. My friends and I also asked for advice on where to go tonight. We got a lot of options and we are going to have a cool time tonight. I liked everything very much, I will definitely come back again and recommend this tour to everyone I know!

This is the best walking tour I’ve been so far! I loved the theme and I felt like I was learning stuff about Rome that even locals don’t know. Our guide Max is a great guy. He gave us a lot of stories, always had funny comments, and was very open for questions. I would definitely recommend this tour😍
