Max is a good guide, but we only saw one Caravaggio painting, which was disappointing.

Went on the tour with Max and it was excellent! Registration was quick and easy online, and I liked the chat feature where our tour guide sent updates and important logistical info leading up to the tour. Went as a family with my older parents (in their 60s) - who both also enjoyed the tour so it definitely appeals to various ages (although some of the stories are graphic and would be unsuitable for younger children). Before we left the group was split in two due to the large sizes, which made the tour much more efficient, intimate, and easier to navigate/hear. We had been living in the same neighborhood the tour covered, and had no idea about some of the history surrounding us so it was a very interesting and memorable tour! Max was very engaging, welcoming, and had a lot of interesting information to offer. He also stayed behind after the tour to answer questions and offer local recommendations, which was much appreciated! It is clear that Max is passionate about what he does which comes through in his energy and story-telling, and overall the tour is definitely one not to miss! Would 100% recommend, don't hesitate and book!

My parter and I joined the tour with Max. We loved the stories and his pace and dark humour definitely make him a great storyteller. The places he chose really bring us back to the time of the Roman century. Overall, we laughed a lot and had a great night to finish our day in Roman.
