We loved this tour and Jacopo was very skilled in holding a very mixed group audience. My 11 year old was reluctant to join the tour at all but it was perfect for us both! Loved the "Who killed Carravagio" tour. I wish I could remember the guide's name (a young woman from Spain). She was so engaging and made history come alive. I highly recommend this tour!

Skylar was animated and very enthusiastic while giving us the tour. She handled the big group really well making sure everyone was involved! Highly recommend.

Simone was fantastic. I have been on these types of tours before, but this was far better than I expected. He was extremely knowledgeable. But also so friendly. He learned my name and asked me things about myself. I really enjoyed this tour. Highly recommended

Very informative and entertaining tour. Simone was a great guide and deserves a 5 star review so we have marked accordingly. However, we felt there were far too many people on the tour, as a booking for 6 people saw an extra 17 people turn up for the tour. This meant it was difficult to see all the monuments etc. which were discussed.

Very enjoyable to listen too. He told us the beginning and end of Rome while being interesting for beginners and adepts of ancient Roman history.

Me and my family joined a “free” walking tour with What About Tours and had mixed feelings about the experience. The information shared was interesting and gave a good overview of the city. However, the overall delivery and organization could be improved. The guide often spoke too quietly, which made it hard to follow, especially in crowded areas. At times, there was little connection with the group, and the tour felt less engaging than expected. The route itself went through very busy spots, making it difficult to hear and enjoy the explanations. Starting earlier or choosing less crowded locations would improve the experience. In addition, the meeting point was quite hard to find, which made the start of the tour stressful. What stood out negatively was the approach to tips and reviews. Although the tour is presented as free, we were told that certain tip amounts were not acceptable, and there was pressure to leave only 5-star reviews. In my opinion, this kind of approach distorts the rating system and makes reviews less trustworthy. I have joined similar tours in other cities, and they were run at a much higher level in terms of organization, delivery, and overall experience. Overall, while the content was interesting, the execution and communication need improvement. Objectively, I would rate this tour 3 out of 5.

Very enjoyable tour. Skylar was a very knowledgeable guide. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an overview of Jewish history in Rome and of Trastavere.

Amazing knowledge!! Was blown away by the grandure of the surroundings and the thorough information from our guide that I couldn't think of any questions to ask.

A great tour with Max who was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and entertaining. It took half an hour in the queue before we could access the basilica, but this went very quickly thanks to the interesting facts delivered by Max whilst we were waiting. I have now been on several guru walking tours and they never fail to deliver. Thank you.

This was my first GuruTour and I highly recommend it. I learned so much including good non-tourist places to eat. Our guide, Skylar, was knowledgeable and personable. I am going to look into doing another GuruTour while I am here.
