Simone was amazing, very knowledgeable and interesting, when we were at the Forum a couple of locals were having a romantic wine for two, they stopped and nodded along at what Simone was saying about the Greek architecture being absorbed into Roman culture, so he definitely was captivating!! Entertaining, informative, fun and Rome is glorious!

This was our first GuruWalk and it was exceptional. It takes a special confidence to offer your tour for pay-what-you-want, but Ivan really worked to make our tour historically accurate, culturally sensitive, but also interesting and often humorous which helped maintain everybody's attention. He was knowledgeable and super enthusiastic about the neighborhood in which he lives, offering great tips which allowed us to continue our explorations after the tour was over. Highly recommended.

Great tour! Simone was super friendly and knowledgeable! He touched upon so many aspects of the ancient history, including roman, ancient greek and byzantine; he also gave detailed stories about all the different emperors of Rome and the history of the colosseum. We really enjoyed this tour! Definitely recommend, the colosseum is even more stunning by night! Thank you Simone!!!

By far the best tour I have ever done, and best in Rome! Ivan was a great tour guide! He was clearly knowledgable, engaging, and was able to describe aspects of art and history in a fun and interesting way, helping to grasp your attention. Additionally, not only did he bring us along many churches containing Caravaggio’s paintings, but he also mentioned the ones kept at the Galleria Borghese, making the tour even more interesting, as we were going to the galleria on the next day. I definitely recommend for lovers of art and history! I would definitely do it again!!!
