Jacob was excellent and very professional. We did not have to contact him by WhatsApp to confirm we were going to attend the tour. Yesterday we arrived as planned for the tour “Hidden masterpieces of Rome” with Eugenio and he did not show up !!!! There were about 10 people waiting and we were very disappointed and angry. One of the men in the group rang Eugenio and he said he was at home and that he received no confirmation from anyone that they would come for the tour- totally untrue. I sent an email that I would attend and when I arrived I sent an email stating “Here now” Eugenio is very unprofessional- he should not be a tour guide- he could have come to us - even if he was late- we would have waited 1 hour for him but no- he was too lazy to do that ! I have done a lot of guru walks in different countries and they are always very good and this is first time a tour guide did not show up- very poor !!

Iris narrated history in such an animated and passionate way it felt like watching a soap opera of kings and emperors! She also expertly handled the big group and ensured no one got lost accidentally during the tour. The timing of the tour also meant that we got to avoid big crowds, and Rome was a beautiful in the moonlight! Definitely a must experience!

Our guide had an excellent sense of humour. The tour was well worthwhile. If you don’t want to hear about the challenges of being Jewish over the centuries then maybe this tour isn’t for you. But if you’re prepared to learn the historical facts, it is very informative and interesting!
