We had a great tour with Max! He know s his stuff and really keeps you engaged throughout the whole tour. I was not bored for even one second. In this tour you will get to know Caravaggio and why he painted like he did. Max is kind and will chat up with everyone a bit between walking from place to place. If I had to say one thing/advise is " please for those who are not native , you talk really fast sometimes haha" (my mums comment) But overall I very much recommend it. Much better than any of the "official" toura of agencies I did.

Max did a very good job. All of his stories are true as I did some Googling when I got back to my room to learn more. It was nice learning about things you generally do not here.

Beside the fact that Max is very personable and likable, he was extremely interesting, informative and knowledgeable! He made Caravaggio come to life and explored all the personal depths of Caravaggio’s life as well as his artwork. The mystery aspect and puzzle surrounding Caravaggio’s death held everyone’s interest until the very end. I would one hundred percent recommend this tour and 100% recommend Max!

A really great tour. It definitely changes your perspective on Rome as it goes off the guidebook and the usual script of other guides. If anything, I wish the tour could have gone on for longer.

Great story teller

Max was amazing, his narrations made the stories come to life in front of us. He was very friendly, funny and I don't think that someone can find such a genuinely dark tour as his! I totally recommend him!

Very interesting tour, and a fun tour guide! The stories are based on real historical people and events and we learnt quite a lot while also being very entertained! We would definitely recommend the tour (just not for kids - because of the sometimes intense and bloody details).

This was the best tour I took in Rome during my trip. Max managed to combine mystery and art and it was truly amazing. These two hours of the tour pased really fast with a guide interesting and funny as Max :)
