One of the best free walking tours I took part in. The stories the guide told us were very interesting and far from just telling some facts - every place really came with a story worth remembering. Highly recommend!
Max was a knowledgeable guide who shared insights about Rome's main landmarks in an engaging way. He also took us to some hidden gems, like the back of a beautiful church, that we would have never discovered on a typical walk through the city. Highly recommended
I really enjoyed this tour! The storytelling was great and we got to see the beautiful churches and of course, the Trevi fountain (caught that before it got boarded up)! I was totally here for the "tea" of this city's history, and it was served hot enough 🤣 my friend and I were highly entertained 🤩 Would love to take their other tours when I return to Rome!
Ivan was really great, walking at night in Rome and listening to murder stories is a great plan :)
Really enjoyed the tour. Jacobo made it more fun and interesting.
The group was too large for access we had. I would suggest 8 Max people when access is so limited
I thoroughly enjoyed the tour! One of my favorite things is watching people passionately explain something they truly understand, and the guide did just that throughout the entire tour, adding a touch of humor along the way. It was the perfect way to learn about the history that shaped Rome. Thank you so much for the dedication!
Simone was an engaging and entertaining guide. He answered questions along the way and was clear with directions. I would definitely do another tour with him 😊
A decent or okok tour..... Can give it a try if your are around the city .
Simone is a great guide and really very knowledgeable about the subject!
I am surprised by how much I enjoyed it. It’s was fun, entertaining, and very engaging.
Simone was fantastic! He is very knowledgable and his English is great.
Our tour time was changed the day ahead of time, and I think we were combined with another tour group. This made the experience pretty crowded, but our guide did a good job of keeping track of everyone and finding quiet places to share information. The guide shared his information in more of a story format than most tours do, and I hope What About Tours will continue to develop that aspect of tours. The information was very interesting, and the guide had great English with an accent that was easy to understand (as an American). He also used his connections to show us things most tourists wouldn't get to see. This would be a great tour for those who want to learn some interesting things about Rome, beyond the general history.
My experience with Simone was very positive. He is a fun guy that not only explains a lot of interesting info but also makes jokes throughout the explanations. I also appreciated the fact that he made sure we were okay since Rome's streets can get very crowded and hard to walk. The only con I can find is that sometimes understanding him was a bit hard due to the ambient noise around us, even though he was continuously talking in all directions to prevent that from happening, but in certain moments I had trouble hearing him. I would suggest adding earphones to the tour. Overall, I had a very enjoyable time with him and I completely recommend doing this tour.
We really enjoyed the tour and learned a lot of interesting facts. Our guide also adapted to the rainy morning and managed to keep us dry. 😉 The only thing that's a pity is that due to the size of the group you cannot always hear very well. A microphone or speaking louder could help. Otherwise, great 👍🏼
It was a fun tour. The storytelling is great. Our guide Simone was very passionate about the stories. The length of the tour was also pretty good
Max gave a professional and engaged performance that I will certainly recall. I had a hard time though picking up all the interesting details because he spoke very fast and the group was too big - less would have been more!
Fascinating walk with Simone, on a Caravaggio murder mystery tour. We've done Guru Walks in lots of places, this one was a bit different, focusing on Caravaggio's colourful life, works and death at an early age. Who was responsible? Was he murdered by people he upset? Go on this tour and find out
