Private and group tours in Rome
A local guide plans the walk around who is coming and what they want to see.
On a private tour the guide is yours for the whole walk. You choose the places, how fast we move and how deep we go. We have walked Rome with families on holiday, groups of friends, school classes, company teams and travel agency clients.
The price is fixed for the whole group, not per person. A two-hour walking tour starts from €250 for up to 25 people. Longer walks, Colosseum visits and custom routes are priced separately, and we quote them after you send a request.
What a private tour gives you
A route built around your group
Tell us who is coming, how old they are and what they care about. A history fan and a ten-year-old need different walks, so we plan a different one.
One fixed price per group
You pay for the tour, not for each person. One guide leads up to 25 people. Bigger groups get more guides, so 26 to 50 people means two.
Guides who tell stories
Our guests rate us 4.90 out of 5. People remember a story about a poisoner or an unsolved death far longer than a list of dates.
English and Spanish
Tours run in English or Spanish. Other languages are possible on request, depending on which guides are free.

What our guests say

The tour was amazing. Ivan was very professional, kind, and helpful the whole time. Surely one of my favorite walking tours in Europe.
Max was amazing! He was incredibly knowledgeable about ancient Roman history and kept the tour engaging from start to finish. He was attentive, responsive to heaps of questions, and really brought the history to life. I especially appreciated his insights into Roman literature and the great chat we had about how it connects to my work as a yoga teacher. Would totally recommend this tour to anyone!
Despite the rain, the cold (we took tour in December), a very cranky sleeping teenager, Max was able to engage and ultimately garner my child's interests! I say that's talent!
