This walking tour was led by Simone whose passion for all things Caravaggio was obvious. His fascinating tales about the life of this controversial yet brilliant artist and the places in Rome he frequented made for a truly engaging tour. It certainly piqued our interest to delve more deeply into the biography of Caravaggio. We were a small group which made for excellent conversations and questions.

Thus was a really informative tour, especially for anyone wanting to go deeper on art. I really liked the way so much art history and context was packed into an engaging storytelling format, coupled by visits to see famous artwork at nearby churches. It was so fun it didn’t seem like learning!

Thanks for this type of tour and how specific it is. It’s amazing to walk the streets of Rome and see the places and pieces of artwork from history.

This was hands down the best tour I’ve ever been on! Our guide, Ivan, was absolutely amazing. He was incredibly engaging and amazing storyteller. His English was flawless, too. A huge highlight for me was that I actually managed to solve the mystery of who killed Caravaggio! I enjoyed it so much that I would absolutely join any other tour guided by Ivan. Highly, highly recommended!

Informative and entertaining

Very informative tour of iconic paintings and information about the life of Carravagio. Our tour guide had done his homework!

Ivan guided the tour like a professional director. He built up tension, created interest, told the story and let us guess the end. We enjoyed his knowledge, passion and sense of humour and would like to join any other tour he is offering.
