Absolutely brilliant- don’t miss it

Unbelievable tour! For the first time, I am now interested in art. Joey was such a great guide. He had the entire group captivated for over 2 hours. Highlight of my trip!

The “Who Killed Caravaggio?” with Joey was excellent. We have done many walking tours in various cities, always with very knowledgeable, interesting and fun guides. But in addition to all of these qualities, Joey is the best story teller we’ve ever experienced. This is a “cannot miss” tour and guide for anyone visiting Rome.

Very fun, somewhat lighthearted but informative tour! Joey was excellent

This is a phenomenal tour! Joey is clearly an expert and enthusiast of art history. The tour takes you to three different churches and other spots of significant in the life and art of Carravagio. The art work is of course spectacular and wonderful that it exists where it was originally placed hundreds of years ago and not in a museum. The enthusiasm and knowledge of Joey makes this tour a highlight of our Roman adventure.

The tour was really great! I had a feeling that our guide was kind of "broadcasting" the Caravaggio`s story directly from the 16th century. Highly recommended tour!

Great walk, our guide was definately big fun od Caravaggio. He showed us churches and paintings that we didn’t have a clue.

Nothing like an Irishman to tell a good story. This experience was amazing. Joey was an entertaining and knowledgeable host and he made you feel he was telling the story for the first time. I could not recommend this experience more. Do yourself a favour, especially if you like art and a rollicking good mystery

I would have paid 20 euro just to have someone take me to all of the places where Caravaggio's paintings are hidden. However, I also got a history lesson ad learned about his very interesting life. Also, found my favourite statue in Rome with a funny story. Go!

I really enjoyed the tour. A lot of historical information on Caravaggio and his life and the paintings. Guide is a typical Irish with lots of humour and a very good story teller. Overall a great experience 😊

We are usually not extremely interested in art-related things, but Joey made it extremely fun and exciting to follow Caravaggio’s stories. The paintings really got some context to them and we understood a lot about the circumstances in which Caravaggio lived. We also learned there are actually two Michelangelo’s (no, we didn’t know that before)! ;) Joey was an extremely passionate, knowledgeable yet funny story-teller and we had a very good time doing the tour with him. Would definitely recommend!

Don't let the name of this tour make you think it is frivolous or silly. Joey is a gifted storyteller, as well as an extremely knowledgeable and passionate art historian. I had seen these works on a previous trip to Rome and this tour brought both Caravaggio and his art to brilliant life.
