Max lead a very interesting walk. He was very friendly and easy to communicate with. He answered all our questions and made us feel comfortable. Also, he seems to be a Caravaggio expert, his enthusiasm really made a good vibe and we became interested in the art and life of the painter.

The tour was great, we learned a lot about Caravaggio, his life and paintings. Max was entertaining and funny, but also well organized and professional.

We booked the tour following the comments and it was totally worth it. The guide was very knowledgeable and presented the information in fun and interesting way.

It was fantastic! Max knows absolutely everything about the topic and a little more. He also gave a short description of nearby famous places too, what was nice. I enjoyed all 2 hours of the tour, totally new perspective of Coravaggio and Italy of times of his life. Very satisfied, i would recommend it!

After having just arrived in Rome we thought to do a tour to help offset the 6 hour jet lag… keep us awake and engaged! This tour with Max was perfect as it was fun and interesting and highly recommend. It takes you around to different areas/sites in Rome while weaving a story about Caravaggio. What makes any tour great is the guide, and Max is an example of that. He is excited about what he talks about, engaging and cares about the experience. Highly recommend. This tour is pay as you like, and we paid 50 euro for a tour that far exceeded the Made in Rome skip the line Vatican tour we took with a disinterested guide the following day at a cost of $150. Highly recommended Max and his murder mystery tour.

I absolutely loved this tour! The tour was highly entertaining and gaging but without realizing it you catch yourself learning so much about Rome and Caravaggio. If this tour doesn’t convincing that Caravaggio was an iconic artist of Rome nothing will! I would 100% take this tour again!

Absolutely loved this tour. We had our 14 year old son with us and this was an excellent way to introduce him to some of the greatest paintings in Rome and for him to learn about the trials and tribulations of this master. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt so much. Max was able to pitch the narrative in an informative, fun and enthusiastic manner. He is so knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this tour.

Max delivered a detailed and attention gripping storyline of Caravaggio‘s life. I personally am not an artistic person but Max’s passion & knowledge was contagious and I found myself looking at things from his perspective unlocking different layers to Caravaggio’s works. Cannot recommend this tour enough! Next time I’m in Rome I’ll be booking another.
