I expected nothing from the tour because I'm always scared of the dark or any ghost stories, but my best friend succeeded in persuading me and it was one of the BEST experiences, ever! At first, we couldn't make it to join the tour because we just arrived in Rome and the timing was just not the best (and also the weather). But when we joined the next night, thanks to Max who helped us, it felt like we didn't want the tour to end! Joey the Irish man, as our guide that night, was so theatrically entertaining when he told us some of the spookiest stories in Rome - from the massacre, and the famous executioner, to the witch and dungeon, the well-known artist and his darkest secret, and, of course, the Vatican. Would love to join their tour again if I come back to Rome. Maybe this time, with a different ghost stories :)

Joey is an excellent guide and storyteller with a great, dark irish sense of humor. We went to 2 of their tours in Rome (this and Caravaggio) and you honestly cannot go wrong if you book it. 10/10. Thank you Joey and Max. :)

Excellent tour. Not many ghosts but full of macabre stories of centuries gone by. Dark sense of humour added to the fun. Excellent story teller, kept us all enthralled.

This tour was so much fun! It helped us appreciate parts of Rome’s lesser known history through a really interactive new lens. My friends and I loved it, just wished it went longer than the hour and a half it spanned (we could have happily stayed all night!)

Awesome tour, excellent guide, interesting stories.

After the tour was over, i started reading about the mentioned people, sites and incidences... Turned out to be 99.9% correct. Great entertainment and a lot of information that otherwise would not have been seen. A lot of memory plates that we just would have passed without acknowledging the storys behind it...
