Max is a wonderful guide: he is funny, a great storyteller, and is easy to connect with. Do not expect thorough historical facts about Rome. This tour is well-balanced between urban legends and scary, sometimes bloody facts about a few places on the way. Max's personality adds a lot to the experience. I would definitely recommend.

AMAZING! So much fun, Max was a great storyteller even for the morbid and seedy, it was entertaining. The tour was full of fun tales and information. It didn't feel repeated or rehearsed at all. Gave a lot of context about the city and stories that you wouldn't typically get - many fun folk tales and local stories. Really really can't recommend this one enough. Thank you Max!!

Max is a great guide this is the second tour we've done with him. Some fun (grim but true) stories, the group was too big but he handled it really well, particularly the rowdy drunks who kept interrupting I was very impressed how he kept the pace and tone of tour going with that obstacle.

It was a great tour when you want to listen to the history of Rome of the 15th century. There were really horrible and interesting stories about executions, witches and the dark side of the Vatican. The narrator was very funny and had lively manner of how to present the stories. Please add a trigger warning beforehand because their are also stories about abuses!

Max’s your was amazing! He’s great at telling creepy tales about the past. The stories are just in the right amount of spooky and Max is great at engaging the group. A must-go tour for sure.

My partner and I took this tour with Max and were so happy we did! Max was very organized, professional and understandable in his delivery of the tour and his personal style was awesome. We were truly disturbed and scared by details and locations visited during the tour but this was helped by Max's morbid sense of humor which took the edge off. We highly recommend this tour!
