An amazing tour - the guide (Jacapo) kept our group entertained and told Caravaggio's story in a way that kept your attention. I love how it was all brought together in the end. There was some difficulty keeping the group together at the first church, which caused a little confusion, but it was not the guide's fault at all. Overall I can definitely recommend this tour!

Very good guide

Simone is excellent in sharing information about the life and death of Caravaggio. He is interactive and informative at the same time. Would recommend this tour if you are interested to know Michaelangelo Merisi as a person and as a painter.

I had a great time on Ivan’s “Who Killed Caravaggio?” walking tour. Ivan clearly loves the painter, and that passion came through in every stop and story. He managed to pack in tons of fascinating details about Caravaggio’s life and art without it ever feeling like a dry history lesson. Instead, he wove the tumult, mystery, and drama of Caravaggio’s world into the walk in a way that felt like we were piecing together a living, breathing story. The places we visited were so well chosen — each one felt like a perfectly framed backdrop to the narrative he was building. Between the beauty of the works we saw, the streets we wandered, and Ivan’s gift for storytelling, the whole experience was entertaining, engaging, and memorable. If you’re curious about Caravaggio — or just want a lively tour that blends art, history, and intrigue — I can’t recommend this enough. Ivan recommended some books for me to read which I can’t wait to crack into!

Learnt so much about Caravaggio that I never knew! Ivan was informative and passionate and pointed out bits and pieces throughout the city that I would have completely overlooked. A really cool little history lesson on Caravaggio!
