Jacobo is the BEST guide for such kind of art history tours that I have ever been to. It’s really lovely to see him talking about Caravaggio so passionately. He is well-prepared, great in storytelling with lots of interesting facts. Even for me who knows Caravaggio quite a bit before the tour can still learn new things from the tour. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

Our second tour with Jacob - we were once again very satisfied with his knowledge and style of presenting information. The tour has a clear subject and is very focused on both art and colorful history of Caravaggio’s life. There is a moment during the tour when you will visit one of the churches to see a Caravaggio’s painting so be prepared to dress accordingly (cover shoulders, etc). Jacob is very charismatic, funny and knowledgeable. He knows how to tell a story and is very helpful in general knowledge of Rome and recommended places to visit/eat. He will answer all your questions.

This was a tour with a difference not just about sightseeing but using the story of Caravaggio’s life to take us to interesting areas of Rome and led by a passionate presenter who held everyone’s attention

Story of Michelangelo is crazy, interesting, funny and the guide knew so Much about art and story, IT was amazing to listen to him!

Jacopo was very entertaining, knowledgeable, engaging, and obviously has a love of the subject matter. We were very impressed with the depth of his knowledge about the artist's life and work, and the history of Rome at that time. He was also very charming and funny, and we really enjoyed the tour.

This was one o th best GuruWalks I’ve ever taken. Jacobo was brilliant, clearly an expert on the topic, completely engaging and personable. He gave us insights that I don’t think you can get from a book or another tour experience. I learned an incredible amount and also enjoyed the tour thoroughly. I wish it had been longer, in order to learn more from Jacobo. If he has other tours I would certainly take them. He provided a 10-star experience.

Max was a very enthusiastic guide and the tour was entertaining despite the rain. The story was engaging and it was interesting to not only learn about Carvaggio, but what was taking place at that time. It was a fun way to learn about a specific point in history even if there appeared to be a share of myth and legends intertwined.
