Fascinating! Guide was fantastic, and we all really enjoyed the tour!!
Absolutely loved the tour! The storytelling was on point making the experience not just informative but also incredibly engaging
SO MUCH FUN! I am Maltese and knew a little about caravaggio, but this tour tells you all the stuff they don’t teach you in school! Joey was amazing, so funny, a true showman. Go on this tour!!
Joey was very engaging and he managed to bring the characters in the tour to life and made it super enjoyable even for an art novice like myself.
Max is a thoroughly professional guide with a fun and informative style. There is a lot of information to take in and Max was able to navigate the group around and find places to sit so we could be comfortable as he told the story. I loved how Max wove the story of Caravaggio’s life as we visited the sites on our walk. Highly recommend this tour even if you aren’t familiar with Caravaggio’s work or life. You will be by the end.
It was an amazing walk! Quest game around this mysterious should arrive one day :D There were a lot of 'delicate' details and fun facts about Caravaggio's life. Max is definitely an experienced and professional guide. Rome is incredibly nice in the evening.
I was very pleasantly surprised at how fascinating the life of Caravaggio was and that was all thanks to the delivery of mister Max our tour guide.
Very professional, interesting and with a sense of humor. Thank you. I apologize for forgetting the guide’s name.
It was fun getting to know Caravaggio through Max who is knowledgeable, engaging and irreverent. A must do for people who are interested in a deeper dive into Roman art!
Our guide (Max?) was so good. Informative & passionate about his topic. I am now going to look at Caravaggio’s art in a very different way!!
Brilliant tour, and an even more brilliant guide. Very interactive as well. Keeps you guessing until the end. Max tries to keep everyone engaged as it is very vital in following the story. I am not going to spoil here who killed Caravaggio. There were plenty of hints in the story so you really need to listen. If you’re up for a murder mystery with art history on the side, then this one is for you. I’m really starting to get the hang of unconventional tours such as this one. Great job!
Great tour and a very good tour guide, Unfortunately I don't remember his name but I remember he is Irish. He narrated the story really well. I would recommend this tour and 5 * rating to the guide. All the places were amazing.
Excellent tour! Storytelling aspect was phenomenal. If you’re a fan of art history, art or history then this is the tour for you!
One of the best tours ever done. Fun, interesting, in one word AWESOME!
Max was an amazing storyteller and his knowledge and intelligence shines through in this tour. it was so immersive and we had alot of fun learning about the life of caraviaggo and his paintings ! his tour is also packed with humorous anecdotes and its a definite must do if you’re in rome because you definitely will not regret it :-) also he is v helpful in answering any questions you might have! his tour for families that made rome is also extremely fun and informative so if you have time, i definitely recommend doing both, you would not regret it!
Truly excellent tour in every way. I cannot recommend this to tour company enough. Informative, funny and no dull moments.
Offbeat, interactive, fun
Max was superb. We were really pleasantly surprised!
What a surprise this tour was! We went in with little expectations and in the end this was one of the most entertaining free walking tours I’ve ever been on. Max took us - with a lot of passion and style (which is very important!) - along in the (artistic) life of Caravaggio. And what I life this man had… You don’t have to know who he was before you start the tour (my mom didn’t) so don’t worry. This tour was an interesting way to learn more about Rome during the Renaissance and visit some sights you maybe wouldn’t by yourself. Definitely check this tour out!
Great tour. Fun, interesting and educational.
