The concept of this tour was amazing! If you are into art or have no idea about the painters, still you can learn a lot of great things while having fun. Caravaggio himself is a crazy guy in my eyes and really fun to learn about. Our guide Joe is an amazing storyteller he made the walking experience much better with his theatrical talking and positive energy. The weather was really against the idea of pace walking-it was so so so hot- still he kept his audiences attention on some little stop&rest moments and remarkable chitchat. Highly recommended 🫶🏼

The walk was very interesting! If you are fan of Caravaggio work, this tour is must do for you! But even if you don't but would like to learn more about the art, to hear a story of the artist life, or to get interest in art, it's a highly recommend tour for you then! The guide was so passionate about the Caravaggio work, he explained all the small details of his work and his life, it was very interesting to listen to him!

This was a great tour, the guide was very passionate about Caravaggio and knew heaps of interesting stuff. Not boring dates but a real storyteller. We went to hidden churches that we never would have known about and he kept us all entertained and engaged. Definitely worth doing.

An excellent tour about the exceptional Caravaggio”s life, paintings and death that takes you to the Rome’s life of his time. Very interesting for everyone interested in Rome history but a must for Caravaggio’s followers

Amazing story teller that was captivating from start to finish. Also met a friend on the tour and we got dinner after! Great vibe people, great vibe.

This tour was fantastic! Joey was incredibly passionate about the subject and this made the tour all the more special to watch some speak and spread the word about something they love! It was filled with good laughs, interesting points and of course stunning art work that would otherwise be missed. Was very much worth the visit and is great for something to do off the beaten track! Highly highly recommend Joey's tour. He is extremely engaging, a fantasy story teller, and helps to bring life to the art pieces viewed / places visited. Best walking tour I've been on.

Must do!!!! This was my absolute favourite tour I’ve done with any free walking tour company. Joey was an amazing guide, a true story teller and had us completely engaged right from the first minute. I knew very little about Caravaggio (high school art history was 35 years ago !) but I enjoyed every single minute and am inspired to learn more. I did this tour with my university aged son and he came away from the tour wanting to add Art History classes ti his degree. That’s how engaging this tour was. Don’t miss it. My only regret is only discovering this tour on our last evening in Rome so too late to book on other tour offering by these guys (they do a ghost tour as well). Hidden gem. What a natural actor this tour guide is. Amazing.

I really recommend this tour! We were amazed by the amount of curiosities and facts that are not easy to find on the internet! Although we are not art lovers, story of Caravaggio told during the tour was breathtaking for us!

I had just come from the Galleria Borghese, where I got an intro to Caravaggio. Then this tour w/ Joey took us all over the city, into churches & down narrow streets... It was sooooo incredible putting together all the stories, matching them up w/ the paintings! This is a Must-Do for 'anyone' who has even a remote interest in Caravaggio! I'd do it again if & when I come back to Rome! Magnifico

It was our second tour with joey (afeter the ghost's One - totally recommended by the way). This guy was born to this. He captivate everyone so easily with historical facts while show you incredible pieces of art.
